In collaboration with Charlie Burchill from Simple Minds, we explored the parallels between sound, aroma, flavour, and colour through a shared element, wood. Inspired by Rare Cask and its distinctive notes, we created a project that reveals the deep connection between whisky craftsmanship and musical composition, where both disciplines shape emotion through precision, intuition, and artistry.

A sensorial composition
We created a cinematic film built around an original script, voiceover, and a bespoke musical piece composed by Charlie. At the heart of the story, a unique guitar crafted from the same European oak used in The Macallan casks becomes the instrument that bridges both worlds. As Charlie plays, flavour is translated into sound, turning tasting notes into a living, expressive composition.

Capturing the connection
From concept to execution, we shaped a narrative where music and whisky become one language. The film captures Charlie’s creative process and mastery, blending performance with storytelling to create a refined and immersive experience, where every note, like every drop, is crafted with intent.
