Andrew Davidson is a British artist and benchmark in the use of traditional engraving printing, which requires hours of traditional craft and is impossible to replicate using other methods.
His unique style is renowned for his creations of iconic pieces such as UK’s Royal Mail postage stamps and illustrations for the Harry Potter series book covers, among others.
In this episode, Andrew Davidson, the master crystal makers of Lalique, English firm Shepherds Bookbinders and IDM printers create “The Tales of The Macallan”, a masterwork volume of The Macallan stories starting in 1543 and including a limited edition bottle inside the book. It is a beautiful story of craftsmanship and legacy.

Andrew worked with the master glassmakers of Lalique to create the unique glass bottle that was presented inside the book, which is revealed when you open it. “The Tales of The Macallan” bottle is an authentic and timeless masterpiece.

Andrew’s illustrations and the Lalique whisky bottle were shrouded inside this unique book handbound by Shepherd’s, one of England’s oldest bookbinders. This iconic company specialises in fine binding, restoration, and conservation of the oldest and most important books and manuscripts available today.
