Sir Peter Blake is a timeless pop art artist who has created legendary pieces using type, collage, photography and colour prompts. He has been working in partnership with The Macallan for almost 40 years.

In this chapter we revisited the brand’s story through his work over the decades. Since his first collaboration in 1986, Sir Peter always played a role at The Macallan, from creating whisky labels, and special editions to unique works, and his style has transcended fashion, music, and various art movements.

A conversation for the ages

To reflect the collaboration with Sir Peter Blake, we captured his lengthy conversation with good friend Mary McCartney. The talented photographer depicted the whole collaboration in magnificent photographs and we harnessed the close friendship to talk the many years of Sir Peter’s art and creations for the brand. It was a legendary conversation between two unique artists and friends.
